Data Controller
ScrollNetwork Digital Academy, located at 202-9, Goldeuntawobilding, Chungjeongro 2(i)-ga, Seodaemun-gu, Seoul, Korea, is the controller of personal data collected through scroll-network.digital and enrollment processes.
Categories of Data Collected
We may collect: identity and contact data (name, email, phone); professional background you provide; payment-related records processed by third-party providers; technical data (IP address, browser type, device identifiers); usage data from our site and learning platforms; and communications you send via forms or email.
Purposes of Processing
Data is processed to: deliver courses and mentor services; respond to inquiries; process enrollments; improve our website and curricula; send service-related notices; comply with legal obligations; and, with consent where required, send marketing about programs you may find relevant.
Legal Basis
Under applicable Korean privacy law including the Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA), we rely on: performance of a contract (enrollment); legitimate interests (security, analytics with appropriate safeguards); legal obligation; and consent for optional marketing and non-essential cookies.
Retention
Enrollment records are retained for the period required by tax and consumer regulations, typically seven years for transaction records unless a shorter period is mandated. Marketing consents are retained until withdrawn. Server logs may be retained up to twelve months unless needed for security investigations.
Sharing with Third Parties
We share data with: payment processors; cloud hosting providers; email delivery services; learning management vendors; and professional advisors when required. Contracts require processors to protect data and use it only for specified purposes. We do not sell personal data.
International Transfers
Some processors may store data outside the Republic of Korea. Where transfers occur, we implement appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses or vendor certifications consistent with PIPA requirements.
Security Measures
We apply access controls, encryption in transit, periodic reviews of vendor security, and staff training. No method of transmission is fully secure; report suspected breaches to privacy@scroll-network.digital.
Your Rights
You may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, or portability of your personal data where applicable. You may withdraw consent for marketing or non-essential cookies at any time. Contact privacy@scroll-network.digital; we respond within timelines required by law.
Children
Our services target adults and working professionals. We do not knowingly collect data from children under fourteen without parental consent. Contact us to request deletion if you believe we have collected a child’s data in error.
Policy Changes
We may update this notice with a revised date. Significant changes will be highlighted on the website or communicated to active learners when appropriate.
